This policy explains how WeSea Maritime Agency handles personal information submitted through this institutional website.
Last updated: 30 August 2026
Who we are
WeSea Maritime Agency (“WeSea”, “we”, or “us”) is a ship-agency business operating in Ceará, Brazil. For questions about this policy or the handling of your data, contact us at operations@wesea.com.br.
Information we collect
When you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you choose to provide. The form also uses a hidden anti-spam field; it is not used to identify you. If you contact us by email, we receive the information contained in your message and email headers.
Our hosting and security systems may also record technical information such as IP address, browser, device, access time, and pages requested in standard server logs. We do not ask for sensitive personal data through this website.
How we use information
- To respond to questions, requests, and business inquiries sent through the contact channel.
- To understand and follow up on a potential business relationship or service request.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website and its communications.
- To comply with legal obligations and exercise or defend legal rights when necessary.
LGPD legal bases
Under Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), we process personal data only when a legal basis applies. Depending on the purpose and circumstances, that basis may be consent, the taking of steps related to a contract at your request, compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation, the regular exercise of rights, or our legitimate interests, always respecting your fundamental rights and freedoms.
Retention
We keep contact information and correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, manage a potential or existing business relationship, meet legal or regulatory requirements, and establish, exercise, or defend rights. When the applicable purpose and retention obligation end, we delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of the information.
Sharing and service providers
We may share information with hosting, infrastructure, email, security, and technology providers that help us operate this website and respond to messages. They may process information only to provide services to us and under appropriate confidentiality and security duties. We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or a competent authority, or when necessary to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use contact-form information for unrelated advertising.
Cookies and tracking technologies
This website uses privacy-focused analytics provided through our hosting platform to measure aggregated page views, traffic sources, and selected interactions such as contact actions, service selection, and language changes. We do not send names, email addresses, messages, or other contact-form content to analytics, and analytics is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Essential technical logs may also be created by hosting and security infrastructure to keep the site available and protected. Your language preference may be saved in local browser storage so the site can remember whether you selected EN or PT.
The site may load fonts from Google Fonts. A browser request to that service can include technical information governed by the provider’s own policies. You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect language preferences or site functionality.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law and the relevant exceptions, you may request confirmation of processing, access to your data, correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data, information about sharing, portability where regulated, and review of decisions made solely by automated processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing.
To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, email operations@wesea.com.br with enough information for us to understand and verify the request. You may also submit a complaint to Brazil’s data protection authority (ANPD).
Security and updates
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. The “last updated” date above identifies the current version.
