Services
Ship agency services for heavy bulk cargo
WeSea acts as ship agent for vessels calling at Pecém and Mucuripe with coal, fuel and petroleum products, tar and coal-tar derivatives, and steel. We do not operate as a general agency. Our scope is structured around the services required to prepare, execute and close a heavy bulk vessel call.
Port agency
Port agency covers the call from nomination to sailing. The work includes review of vessel particulars and cargo information, pre-arrival planning, liaison with port authorities and terminals, customs and Siscomex processing, coordination of pilotage and towage, berthing support, cargo documentation and departure clearance.
One operational point of contact follows the call throughout this sequence. Daily updates begin from ETA-72h. If weather, berth availability, terminal conditions or documentation cause a deviation, the owner receives the operational fact together with the proposed response.
The proforma disbursement account is issued in USD and itemizes the applicable port and terminal charges, pilotage, towage, agency fee and husbandry. Exchange arrangements vary by operation, and advance requirements vary by client. Timing and commercial conditions are confirmed directly for each nomination.
Protective agency
When a charterer or another party appoints the port agent, the owner may appoint WeSea to follow the call independently. Protective agency can include monitoring of the berthing sequence, review of operational facts, attention to laytime-related records, cargo operation follow-up and direct reporting to the owner.
The purpose is to give the owner an independent operational channel at the port. The exact protective scope is agreed at nomination according to the vessel, charter-party requirements and the interests that need to be monitored.
Husbandry
Husbandry services include crew changes, immigration coordination, medical assistance, delivery of spares and stores, cash to master, bunkering coordination and support for surveys. These services are available at Pecém and Mucuripe and are coordinated by WeSea's own operational team.
Physical attendance is organized according to the needs of the call. The team remains reachable around the clock while services, documentation and port access are being coordinated.
Cargo scope
Our cargo scope includes coal, fuel and petroleum products, tar and coal-tar derivatives, and steel products such as slabs, coils and plate. Cargo-specific requirements are handled according to the terminal, berth and operation involved. Client and terminal names are not published without prior authorization.
