Husbandry agent

Husbandry Agent — the vessel's needs handled without the captain leaving the bridge.

Everything a ship and its crew need on the ground while alongside — coordinated by someone who's actually there.

While a vessel is berthed or at anchor, its crew and the ship itself still have needs that have nothing to do with cargo — medical care, fresh provisions, spare parts, cash on hand, a technician who can actually get on board. Someone has to handle all of that locally, in real time, so the master can stay focused on the vessel, not on logistics ashore. That's what a husbandry agent does.

What WeSea does as your husbandry agent

  • Crew change and welfare. Sign-on and sign-off coordination, visas, transport, lodging, and medical assistance for crew members joining or leaving the vessel.
  • Provisions and supplies. Fresh water, fuel, food provisions, and spare parts sourced and delivered on schedule — not chased down after the vessel already needs them.
  • Technical and regulatory services. Arranging repairs, surveys, and inspections required by port or classification authorities during the call.
  • Cash to Master. Cash delivered on board to cover the captain's day-to-day expenses — no delay waiting on a wire transfer to clear.
  • Waste management. Solid and liquid waste removal handled in line with port and MARPOL requirements.

Like every WeSea service, this is built on the same principle: someone locally present, coordinating details before they become the master's problem.
